In January, Library Headquarters will once again host the popular T’ai Chi Chih classes led by instructor Dan Pienciak, the Colts Neck Library will hold Nia classes, and children can get into the fitness scene with a Mygym session at Howell township Library.

Move-It Monday: T'ai Chi Chih

Come and participate in this meditative form of exercise, associated with both spiritual and health benefits. The program runs for 90 minutes.
T’ai Chi Chih® consists of 19 stand-alone movements and one pose. T’ai Chi Chih doesn’t require a particular level of physical fitness or coordination.
Instructor Dan Pienciak has been practicing T’ai Chi Chih since 1995 and became an accredited instructor in 1997.

Makeup artist Josie Vega will demonstrate 7 ways to update your look during this 90-minute workshop. Learn the proper colors for you and best ways to apply them. Josie Vega is a licensed cosmetologist with 27 years experience in the beauty industry. Space is limited, please register at library or call 732-431-7222.

Nia combines movement and practices from Yoga, Tai Chi, Akkido, Jazz and similar activities. Nia movements can be customized for the individual's needs, fitness and agility. It offers cardiovascular conditioning and no prior training is required. This class will be taught by Meredith Amato, a certified Nia instructor.
