Baxter's Fishing Derby In Howell Returns For 2023

HOWELL, NJ — The Howell area’s youngest fishermen and women can enjoy the free semiannual Baxter's Fishing Derby at the Alfred C. Sauer Park at Echo Lake next month.

Sponsored by the Howell Township Department of Community Relations, as well as the Howell Township Municipal Alliance, Optimist Club, Spring Lake Fishing Club, NJ Division Of Fish & Wildlife, Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services (PAALS) and Stop & Shop, the derby will be held on June 3 and feature breakfast, lunch, learning stations and a three-hour fishing derby contest.

Awards and prizes will also be handed out at the end of the derby.
