Best Buy Closing Howell Store In November
The company is not renewing the lease on the store; employees will be able to apply at nearby stores or receive severance.

HOWELL, NJ — Best Buy shoppers will no longer have the option of going to Howell: the store is set to close in November, a spokesman confirmed Thursday.
"We've made the decision to not renew the lease on the Howell Best Buy store and the last day of business is November 3," Kevin Flanagan, a spokesman for Best Buy, said via email Thursday evening.
Best Buy has 1,000 stores in United States and Canada and about 20 in New Jersey, including stores in Brick, Eatontown, Holmdel, Manalapan and Manahawkin.

Flanagan said customers are shopping in at other nearby stores that have a larger selection of products.
There are about 30 full-time employees plus part-time employees at the Howell store, and they will be able to apply for jobs at nearby stores. Those who do not stay with the company will receive severance packages, he said.
