
The Howell Lady Rebels had their second meet of the season on Thursday afternoon, and for the second time the girls came away with a hard fought win.
This time the girls took on the squad from Marlboro on the road and came home with a nail biting 104.45-102.05 win over their hosts. The girls were helped by the fact that they won all the events as well as the all around scoring on the day.
Senior Courtney Boyle, in just her second meet on the varsity level won the all around title with a score of 36.15. She also won the bars with a score of 9.0 as well as the beam with a 9.1.

One event the senior did not win was the vault, which was taken by teammate Monet Masters who earned a score of 9.3. Boyle was a close second with a score of 9.25, while Marlboro's Jessica Angelone was a distant third with a score of 8.9.
In the bars, Boyle just barely beat out fellow Lady Rebel Bayleigh Fobes for the win. While Boyle earn a score of 9, Fobes was right behind her with an 8.8. In the beam, Boyle had a 9.1 on the day which was just enough to beat Marlboro's Ilana Chasin who had an 8.8 for the home team.

The other member of the local team to win on Thursday was Antoanette Bronisevsky who took the floor exercise with a score of 9.2. That was just slightly better than Masters' 9.1, while Yanna Pressimone earned a 9.
Next up for the girls is a meet against Jackson Memorial at home on Tuesday. The competition is set to kick off at 4 p.m.
