Learn why a rain barrel is a good investment for your home and the environment. Make a rain barrel to harvest rainwater for your landscape, conserving water and protecting the Metedeconk River and Barnegat Bay watersheds.
The barrel holds about 50 gallons of water which can be used to water gardens. Rain water
collection can help conserve water, prevent basement flooding, and reduce flooding and pollution in local rivers and streams.
Barrels are 34 in. tall and 25. in wide and can be placed lying down in the backseat of most vehicles to be transported home.
Workshop is Free
All tools and materials will be provided to build your own Rain
Barrel.
Workshop is limited to 25, so register early to reserve a seat.
