Candidates File For School Board Elections In Howell, Farmingdale
Here's who is running in Howell and Farmingdale for the local and regional Board of Education elections Nov. 8.

HOWELL/FARMINGDALE, NJ — Candidates have filed for seats on the Howell Board of Education and the Farmingdale Board of Education. They have also filed for seats as representatives to the Freehold Regional High School Board of Education from the municipalities.
In Howell, five candidates have filed for three, full-term seats on the Howell Township Board of Education.

- Laurence Gurman, incumbent
- Denise M. Hirschhorn, Protecting Our Children
- Cristy Mangano, incumbent: Advocate Commitment Experience
- Joseph Mauer Jr., Protecting Our Children
For Farmingdale Borough Board of Education there are two full-term seats open.

For the Freehold Regional High School Board of Education there is one full-term seat open for the Howell representative.
One candidate filed:

For the Freehold Regional High School Board of Education there is one full-term seat open for the Farmingdale representative.
One candidate filed:
- Kathie Lavin, incumbent
The list of candidates, filed on July 25, will not be official until after Sept. 6, as candidates may withdraw from the ballot before that date. New candidates may be placed on the ballot up until that date if new offices are to appear on the ballot, as provided by the school board administrator, said Monmouth County Assistant Supervisor for Elections Cassandra Achille.
The election for school board members is held on General Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8. School boards have until Sept. 9 to submit a public question to appear on the Nov. 8 ballot, Achille added.
