Celebrate America's 250th Anniversary At Howell's Spring Fling

An American flag created by a group of classic cars is one of the planned highlights of the event.

HOWELL, NJ — Howell Township is celebrating spring and the 250th anniversary of the United States of America on Sunday with its Spring Fling celebration at Soldier Memorial Park.

"Let’s come together as a community dressed in red, white, and blue, proud of our hometown and our country," the township said in its announcement. "This special Spring Fling is more than just an event; it’s a celebration of American spirit, town pride, and the values that bring us together."

There will be a patriotic display of classic cars forming the American flag presented by the Antique Motoring Club of Monmouth and live music by The Benjamins.

The free event also will have food trucks, beer and wine from the Howell PBA, rides and activities for kids, a karate demonstration by the Art Beins Karate demo team, face painting, a petting zoo and a DJ from SCE Events playing music when The Benjamins are not performing.

The event runs from noon to 4 p.m. Free parking is available at Soldier Memorial Park, 587 Lakewood Farmingdale Road.
