Couple Sought In String Of Howell Car Burglaries
Police say the couple, who were breaking into vehicles in the Toscana development, were chased off by a resident who confronted them.

HOWELL, NJ — While Howell Township residents were celebrating Valentine's Day on Friday, police say a couple were making their way through a neighborhood stealing from unlocked vehicles.
Howell police said the burglaries happened overnight Friday into Saturday, and the couple went around the Toscana development, checking for unlocked vehicles and taking valuables out of them, until a resident confronted them and chased them to the Home Depot parking lot.
"We obtained video footage and have a good idea who they are," Howell police said. "We ask residents to check their home surveillance for additional footage."
