Crash After Police Pursuit Shuts Route 9 In Howell: Police
Police said a suspect is in custody. The crash is causing 25-minute delays in the area.

HOWELL, NJ — A crash following a police chase has shut down the area of Georgia Tavern Road and Route 9 in Howell on Thursday afternoon.
Police are urging people to avoid the area while the police investigation is conducted. The state Department of Transportation says the northbound lanes of Route 9 are closed and the left lane southbound is closed as well, according to 511nj.org. Detours are in place and there is a 20- to 25-minute delay in the area.
The suspect who was being pursued has been arrested, and two people were injured in the crash, police said.
