Delayed Opening For Howell Schools, High School District

The districts announced the delayed openings Monday night and said officials are monitoring the weather for Tuesday morning.

HOWELL, NJ — Students and staff members of Howell Township schools and its associated high school districts get to sleep in Tuesday after school officials announced delayed openings for March 13.

The delays are due to the expected effects of the oncoming winter storm.

The Howell Township Public Schools will be operating on a 90-minute delay on Tuesday, March 13. The PAL Before Care Programs will be canceled. We will continue to monitor and reevaluate the weather event throughout the evening and early morning.

In the Freehold Regional High School District, there is a 90-minute delay as well, with Freehold, Howell, and Manalapan beginning at 9 a.m. and Colts Neck, Freehold Township and Marlboro beginning at 9:55 a.m.

The Monmouth County Vocational School District also will be operating on a delayed schedule due to inclement weather.

The delayed schedule will be as follows:

  • Shared Time: All AM classes will be cancelled, Staff will report at 8:30 a.m. PM sessions will run as scheduled.
  • Full Time: Staff will report at 8:30 AM. Students will report at 9 a.m.
