Downed Tree Blocks Road, Knocks Out Power In Howell: Police
Roughly 50 homes are without electricity according to JCP&L.

HOWELL, NJ — A downed tree in the road has resulted in the closure of Brickyard Road in Howell Monday morning and has knocked out power to about 50 homes in the area, according to authorities.
The road is closed at both points where it intersects Buckalew Road, according to a Facebook post by Howell police.
There was no indication of whether the tree simply fell or if there were other circumstances.

The tree brought down wires, causing the power outage, but Jersey Central Power & Light crews are present and working on the repairs, police said.
The First Energy outage website is estimating power will be restored by 9 a.m.
