Driver Arrested After Crash Snaps Pole In Howell: Police
The driver was charged with driving under the influence and narcotics possession, police said.

HOWELL, NJ — A motorist who suffered a minor injury in a crash Sunday in Howell has been charged with driving under the influence and narcotics possession, Howell police said.
The driver's name, age and hometown had not been released as of late Sunday. The accident happened midafternoon; in a post on Facebook shortly after 3 p.m., police said crash snapped a utility pole.
The snapped pole and the crash cleanup forced the closure of Old Tavern Road between Manassa Road and Preventorium Road. The road remained closed as of midnight, according to the post.

In a separate incident, Newtons Corner Road was closed between Lakewood Allenwood Road and Easy Street after a tree fell across power lines. That road was reopened after a few hours.
