DWI Checkpoint Friday Night In Howell

Police officers will be looking for those impaired by alcohol or drugs, the task force coordinator said.

HOWELL, NJ — If you have a fun evening scheduled Friday, take heed, and make sure you have a designated driver: the Monmouth County DWI Task Force will be on the lookout for impaired drivers with a checkpoint.

The checkpoint will be run from 11 p.m. Friday through 2 a.m. Saturday on Route 9 north in Howell, Allenhurst Police Chief Michael B. Schneider, task force coordinator, said.

Members of the Howell police department and task force members will be looking for drivers impaired by alcohol or drugs.

Drivers will be pulled from the northbound lanes into the Regal Plaza parking lot and officers will educate drivers on driving while intoxicated/impaired, Schneider said.
