DWI Checkpoint Saturday In Howell: Authorities

If you're planning to go out and have a good time this holiday weekend, be sure you make arrangements to not drink and drive.

HOWELL, NJ — The Monmouth County DWI task force will conduct a DWI checkpoint to detect drivers under the influence of alcohol and or drugs on Saturday night in Howell.

The checkpoint will run from 11 p.m. Saturday through 3 a.m. Sunday on Route 9 north, said Brielle Police Chief Michael W. Palmer, the task force coordinator.

Task force members and officers from the Howell Police Department will pull vehicles from the northbound lanes of Route 9 into the Regal Plaza parking lot to educate drivers on driving while intoxicated and to determine drivers’ sobriety, he said.
