HOWELL, NJ — If you are headed out to do a little pre-turkey celebrating on Wednesday night, Monmouth County authorities are urging you to not drink and drive. The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will be conducting a checkpoint in Howell Saturday night to detect drivers under the influence of drugs or alcohol, said Brielle Police Chief Michael Palmer, the task force coordinator. The checkpoint will be conducted from 11 p.m. Saturday through 3 a.m. Sunday on Route 9 north, Palmer said. HOWELL, NJ — If you are headed out to do a little pre-turkey celebrating on Wednesday night, Monmouth County authorities are urging you to not drink and drive.

The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will be conducting a checkpoint in Howell Saturday night to detect drivers under the influence of drugs or alcohol, said Brielle Police Chief Michael Palmer, the task force coordinator. The checkpoint will be conducted from 11 p.m. Saturday through 3 a.m. Sunday on Route 9 north, Palmer said.
