DWI Checkpoint Set For Saturday In Howell
The checkpoint will be looking for drivers who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, authorities said.
HOWELL, NJ — Authorities will be conducting a DWI checkpoint on Saturday evening in Howell.
The Monmouth County DWI Task force announced the checkpoint will be conducted on Route 9 north from 11 p.m. Saturday through 2 a.m. on Sunday, said Allenhurst Police Chief Michael B. Schneider, task force coordinator.
Task force members and Howell Township police officers will be looking for drivers who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Vehicles will be pulled over from the northbound lanes into the Regal Plaza parking lot to educate drivers on the dangers of driving while intoxicated or impaired and determine the drivers' sobriety.
