The Special Education Advisory Council presents two important topics for parents:
- Teen Internet & Social Network Safety - learn about the dangers and pitfalls of teen social networking including Facebook, texting, and Twitter, presented by a law enforcement community member who is also the parent of a special needs student
- Teen Mental Health Issues - hear about the warning signs to watch for when emotional issues go beyond typical teen angst and how to know when it is time to seek help
