Fire Damages Howell Home Off Ramtown-Greenville Road

HOWELL, NJ — Howell authorities are investigating a fire that broke out Friday afternoon at a home on Rutgers Drive, police said.

The occupant was not home at the time, police said.

The fire was right across the street from Ramtown and Greenville elementary schools, but neither school was affected by the firefighting operations, police said.

Ramtown-Greenville Road is has remained open, police said. There was no immediate word on what may have caused the fire.
