Firefighters Battling Blaze At Blewett's Junkyard In Howell

Firefighters are on the scene of a fire at Blewett’s Junkyard in Howell, battling a fire that appears to have started in a pile of tires, according to scanner communications.

The Monmouth County Police Fire & EMS Facebook page posted the report shortly after 2 p.m. and mutual aid from Brick Township and other nearby fire companies has been requested.

The report said the fire in the tires has exposure to a structure on the property at 246 Herbertsville Road.
