GCU’s McAuley Institute Encourages the Art of Creative Writing

The McAuley Institute for Lifelong Learning (MILL), a community education program for adults ages 50 and over, will host a two-hour Creative Writing Workshop on Thursday, October 24, at 12:00 p.m. Whether you write novels, short stories, poetry, or memoirs, this course will help you discover new inspirations and innovative techniques to jumpstart the writing process. Instructor Michelle Giles, GCU communications and grants specialist, will teach valuable exercises to help writers begin new literary projects and enrich works already in progress. The cost to attend is only $20 for MILL members, $45 for non-members.

For an annual membership fee of only $25, MILL members can register for individual classes, which include workshops, short courses, and courses that meet for several weeks, in addition to free members-only social events and classes. For an additional fee, non-members (even those who aren’t quite 50 years old yet) can take classes, too.

Pre-registration is required for all courses and may be done online at alumni.georgian.edu/mill. Registration forms for mailing and a complete schedule of all courses can be found at www.georgian.edu/mcauley. Room information for all MILL courses will be provided upon registration.
