Staged Homes Sell Faster for Higher Prices
Maybe you’ve seen the shows on TV where a home gets redone and is then sold. Yikes! It looks like such a nightmare and you have to wonder if it’s possibly worth it when you’re only going to move out anyway.
But it has been shown that buyers form an opinion within the first 15 seconds of entering a house, and during that time may actually decide if they could potentially buy it or not. Homes that do not look their best can slow down a sale and stay on the market longer. It is a fact that the longer a house for sale stays on the market, the lower the selling price will be.

While your “house” has the potential to meet the needs of today’s buyer, your “home” may not. After all, you are selling the space – not your furniture or personal effects. It’s really important to understand that the way you live in your “home” and the way you market and sell your “house” are two different things. And the first impression a house makes is a top priority.
Home Staging is as simple as restyling and simplifying your spaces with existing furnishings to show the true potential of the home itself, organizing or removing clutter and other suggestions that many times are small but have a great impact.

I find that there are a number of homeowners that are now savvy enough to understand this and they make changes themselves that improve the way their home will show for sale. However often a homeowner is either unable physically or somewhat unwilling to do what is needed to get their home ready for showing to potential customers because they do not understand the difference it can make.
I have been trained in “Home Staging for Real Estate” and can offer assistance in making small choices that can be cost efficient but get a good result. I also work with a local stager who is more fully trained and can help to do larger overhaul or can stage a vacant property. And yes, I have seen firsthand what it can accomplish.
Statistically it has been proven time and time again that a staged home will sell significantly faster (up to 88% shorter) and for more money. And the cost to do it is usually relatively small.
