Summer Programs offer fun, exercise and education!
This year, the Equestrian Experience is excited to offer a variety of Summer Horsemanship Programs!Students will progress with their skills in the saddle and on the ground. They will ride in at least one group lesson each day, and work with the horses throughout their time at the farm. Beginner level programs will be offered to those who are just getting acquainted with the sport; an intermediate week will be held for students who are independently trotting and leaning to canter and jump. Summer participants will have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about horses in information sessions that will cover topics such as equine anatomy, nutrition, parts of the tack, grooming and so on. Activities will include equine related crafts and games; and students will have a chance to meet and interact with others who share their passion for riding, horses, and spending time at the barn.
The program is located on the very peaceful 10 acres of White Pine Farm, in the Ramtown section of Howell. It is also home to sheep, ducks, and chickens! Three day per week sessions will run from June 26th through the week of August 14th. (Intermediate Week is the week of August 7th.) The day will be from 9:30 to 3:30. Pricing is $300 for the week, with discounts for multiple family members or anyone signing up for more than one week. Single day sessions may also be available at $125 per day.
