Howell Afterschool, Evening Activities Canceled Tuesday
Breaking: The oncoming winter storm has prompted cancellations in both the township and the high school districts.

HOWELL, NJ — School district officials in Howell and in the Freehold Regional High School District have canceled all afterschool and evening events that were scheduled for Tuesday, March 20.
Officials made the announcements Tuesday afternoon.
In the Howell K-8 schools, the PAL After-Care program will remain open Tuesday afternoon, district officials said. All other co-curricular, extracurricular, and community activities scheduled the township's public schools have been canceled.

Freehold Regional officials said all high school afterschool and evening activities are canceled. The Scholarship Donor Workshop at Freehold Township High School has been rescheduled to 6 p.m. on April 11, officials said.
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning on Tuesday morning that extends through Wednesday evening. A nor'easter that is expected to hit in two waves is predicted to bring at least 12 inches of snow and as many as 18 inches to most of Monmouth County, as of noon Tuesday.
