Howell Business Expo Welcomes Shoppers, Offers Info

HOWELL, NJ — The Howell Chamber of Commerce is bringing together businesses and services in one spot Tuesday at the Howell Business Expo.

Whether you're new to town and just want to get a sense of some of the businesses Howell has to offer or you've been a resident and are searching for recommendations on a service, the Expo will have a wide range of vendors with information.

Participating vendors include the Howell Township Construction Department, Bureau of Fire Prevention, Land Use, Recycling, Communities, the Green Team, and the Board of Education.

Meet the business owners, do some shopping. There is the Taste of Howell food tasting for $5 per person, door prizes and other giveaways and a grand prize drawing.

The event is being held at the former Barnes & Noble store, 4831 Route 9, in the Lanes Mill Marketplace. It runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and except for the Taste of Howell, admission is free.

• HavenWood Montessori School, whose mission is to educate children in a way that promotes independent learning, emotional growth and embraces differences using the Montessori approach.
• Yoga Peace Kula is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) that believes the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of yoga and mindfulness are available to all, regardless of financial circumstances, gender, age, backgrounds, challenges and talents. They will be giving away an unlimited monthly pass valued at $108.
• Sunrun will be offering a service to help lower electric bills by going solar. They will explain how the process works. Visit their table for fun giveaways!
• Taste The Cakes and Ice Cream is a boutique bake shop in Freehold offering whatever your sweet tooth desires: custom cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, cookies, brownies, chocolates, ice cream . . . you are limited only by your imagination. They also host parties and other delicious events. Stop by their booth for a delectable ice cream brownie sample and say hello.
• Kim Carnovale, Independent Touchstone Crystal Consultant, will be demonstrating how to accessorize with staple jewelry wardrobe pieces. She will also be holding a raffle of a top seller, an Ice Bracelet. Enter the raffle and receive a free jewelry cleaning cloth (while supplies last). Take advantage of Kim’s expo specials and learn about becoming a Touchstone Crystal Consultant.
• "Mywholebeing.net": the health transformation specialists. Helping you reclaim your health through science backed methods for positive and lasting health changes.
• A Healing Touch at IPT and Gifts of Nature Organics - an all natural and organic full service salon and retail shop with handmade hair, body and skincare products for women, men, children and babies. They possess a passion to create everyday body care products for the entire family, free from any harsh chemicals or irritants. Stop by their booth for a free soap and meet esthetician, Lisa, who will be demonstrating Smooth Sculpting (aka natural Botox)!
• Stop and Shop of Howell will be holding a raffle for the following: (2) Boarshead Party Platters, a half-sheet cake, 5 12-packs of soda and 4 bags of chips. They will also be sampling Hint Water and Ice Drinks.
• ProCare Rehabilitation is a local Physical Therapy clinic owned and operated by Steve Friedeman. Their goal is to return the patient to their normal daily activities at work, at home and at play as quickly as possible, fully functional and pain-free. ProCare Rehabilitation Howell will be answering questions related to physical therapy or their clinic and will be handing out some promo items.
• The Optimist Club of Howell, which for more than 25 years has funded over thousands of dollars in scholarships, has sponsored Eagle scout projects, supported and charted a BSA troop and Cub Pack and supported sports teams. Stop by their table to learn about their programs, including their annual no cost Breakfast with Santa where they have provided thousands of gifts for those in need, their support of families dealing with childhood cancer and other programs. They will have giveaways and contests at their table.
• Bubbakoo's Burritos of Howell. They will be serving Shredded pork tacos and Southwestern eggrolls. The Howell location is under new ownership; they will have coupon giveaways!
• Prince of Peace will have share information about their church and service times. Stop by to pick up Sunday School Registration Forms, giveaways and enter their gift basket raffle!
• Fighting H.A.R.D. Foundation is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children battling a rare disease or chronic illness. Local teenage founders, Alexandra and Jonna Crocker will be at the expo, sharing information and resources for the rare disease community.
• Express Employment Professionals of Howell, NJ will share their tips on how to land a perfect job. They know what they are talking about because they had already put over 1000 people to work since they opened their doors right near you in November 2015! Come ask questions to their recruiters, pick up some of their memorabilia, or get a coupon for your $25 gift certificate if you refer someone who is looking for a job!
• Tara Chapman and Donna Cargill are with Colorstreet 100% real nail polish strips. They go on dry, quick and easy. They will be applying samples and will also be having a raffle for free nail strips!
• Heads and Threads Hair Salon, formerly Precision Haircare, welcomes one and all to their salon which is under new ownership. Visit their table to learn about the salon’s pleasant and friendly atmosphere, hair care products, experienced staff and the services they offer, including eyelash extensions!
• Be sure and stop by The Jewelry Link table for a chance to win a sterling silver and cubic zirconia heart necklace with chain, valued at $199. Also, they will be giving out discount coupons for each visitor to their table (while supplies last).
• Walters Psychological offers individual and family therapy for children, adolescents and adults in a comfortable, nonjudgmental setting. They will be available to share information about their services and provide some strategies for managing stress.
• Prestige Laser Engraving specializes in laser engraved products and promotional items such as laser engraved tumblers, wood signs, granite memorials, etched glasses, vinyl banners and more. They offer everything a business needs for promotions and can do one order at a time for a special personalized gift or mass-produced multiples. Prestige will have giveaways of some of the products they offer.
• State Farm Agent- Ryan Salonia (Howell) will be attending this year’s Business Expo. Please stop by his booth for free information on how to protect and save money on all your personal & business insurance needs. Plus, enter his giveaway for a chance to win a free flat screen TV!
• The Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey (PDFNJ) is a a private 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization. Their mission is to work with local and statewide organizations to promote the prevention of substance abuse through media campaigns, school based and community-based programs, and their drug-free workplace program. All programs and services provided by PDFNJ are offered free of charge. Stop by their table to learn more.
• The Juice Plus+ Company (Martha Harvey) is a whole food nutrition wellness business that helps empower families to live a healthier lifestyle. Stop by and sample their fruit and vegetable WHOLE FOOD nutrition that helps Bridge the Gap in your diet.
• Founded in 2012, CFC Loud N Clear Foundation 501c3 is a grassroots New Jersey registered nonprofit Recovery Community Organization (RCO) providing a model relapse prevention program that supports all pathways to recovery through peer driven and operated programs. They are committed to helping individuals and families struggling with addiction find, maintain, and strengthen their recovery through peer-based support & programs. They will be sharing resources about the programs they offer to people of all ages.
