Howell Fire District Elections On Feb. 19: Where To Cast A Vote

The Howell Fire District elections are this weekend. Here is where you can go cast your vote.

HOWELL, NJ — The annual Howell Fire District elections are coming up in Howell, and residents can vote on their district’s budget along with any open spots on the Board of Fire Commissioners.

The election is Saturday, Feb. 19 and will run from 2 to 9 p.m.

Listed below are voting locations based on your fire district:

  • District 1 (Squankum): 4611 Route 9
  • District 2 (Adelphia): 993 Route 33
  • District 3 (Southard): 1320 Maxim Southard Rd
  • District 4 (Ramtown): 88 Ramtown Greenville Rd
  • District 5 (Freewood Acres): 17 East Fifth Street

Here is the breakdown of the proposed budget (to be raised by taxation) for each district:

District 1 (Squankum)

2021 Budget: $1,192,992

2022 Budget: $1,265,464

Candidates David Allard, Gregory Player, Edward Runyon, Johannes Smit and Daniel Timmerman are running for seats on the board of fire commissioners.

District 2 (Adelphia)

2021 Budget: $1,100,000

2022 Budget: $1,100,000

Candidates Kathleen Carter, Peter Goldring, Toby Roe and Robert Tice are running for seats on the board of fire commissioners.

District 3 (Southard)

2021 Budget: $1,945,741

2022 Budget: 1,948,155

Incumbents Stanley Brzozowski and Kyle Johnson are running unopposed.

District 4 (Ramtown)

2021 Budget: $905,500

2022 Budget: $913,800

Incumbents Ricky Romano, Gregory Scarlato and Richard Stalling are running unopposed.

District 5 (Freewood Acres)

Incumbent Z Arbakow is running unopposed.

Representatives did not respond to multiple information requests regarding the 2022 budget.
