Howell Man Arrested, $3,700 In Cocaine, Pills Seized: Police

MANCHESTER, NJ — A Howell Township man is facing drug charges after police allegedly found $3,700 worth of cocaine, oxycodone, and other drugs in his car following motor vehicle stop in Manchester last week, police said.
Peter Nickey, 31, was arrested by the Manchester Police Narcotics Enforcement Team following a motor vehicle stop fr a motor vehicle violation near the intersection of Route 37 and Commonwealth Boulevard, Lt. Vincent Manco said.
A search conducted during the stop turned up 37 grams of cocaine in 50 separately packaged bags; 7 oxycodone pills; 1 alprazolam pill; 2.5 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, Manco said. The items had an approximate street value of more than $3,700, he said.

Nickey was charged with one count each of possession of cocaine and possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of oxycodone, possession of alprazolam, possession of marijuana, hindering evidence by concealment, possession of drug paraphernalia, and loitering to distribute CDS, Manco said.
Nickey remains in the Ocean County Jail, according to online corrections records.

Manchester Police K-9 officer Ptl. Steven Wendruff and his K-9 Lynk assisted with the investigation. The 2013 Nissan Altima Nickey was driving was seized during the investigation, as well as approximately $100 in cash, pending forfeiture, Manco said.
