Howell Man Charged After Sexually Touching A Shopper: Police

HOWELL, NJ — A Howell resident was charged after inappropriately touching a fellow shopper at a local grocery store earlier this month, police said.

Ehab E. Nassif, 59, was charged with fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.

A woman told police that on Feb. 12, she was followed around the Lidl supermarket on Route 9 South by a man wearing a black mask, gloves, and a baseball cap. The man then rubbed himself against her, according to her statement.

The woman, who reported the incident to police on Feb. 13, told police she saw the man do the same thing to another woman. When she reported it to the supermarket representatives, the man left without being identified, police said.

A concerned citizen who learned about the incident through social media reported seeing the described suspect at a HomeGoods store on US Route 9 North. Nassif was also seen reaching out his arm and hand to graze women's buttocks, according to the witness.

The investigation then led to Nassif being identified as a suspect in the case, and he was arrested.
