Howell Opening Cooling Centers Amid Heat Wave
If you lack air conditioning, the centers will be open in the afternoon to help folks beat the heat.

HOWELL, NJ — If you lack air conditioning and need relief amid the high temperatures expected Sunday and Monday, cooling centers are being opened in Howell.
The Howell Township Office of Emergency Management said the centers will be open Sunday, July 1, and Tuesday, July 2 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for much of New Jersey, with the heat index forecasted to hit 104 in Monmouth County.
