Howell Police Seek Information On Bicyclist's Accident

The man was found with a serious head injury, but police are not entirely sure how the accident happened.

HOWELL, NJ — Howell Township police are seeking the public's help in determining what led up to a bicyclist suffering a serious head injury in an accident on Lakewood Allenwood Road on Wednesday.

Police said the incident happened about 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Lakewood Allenwood Road and Cascades Avenue, Howell Lt. John Yurgel said Thursday.

"At this point, it appears that the rider may have hit the brakes hard and was ejected from the bike," Yurgel said. The man sustained a serious head injury; Yurgel did not identify the man.
