Howell Polling Places Moved Out Of Schools
Concerns about security for students and school district staff prompted the changes.

HOWELL, NJ — Howell Township voters will no longer go into the township's schools to cast ballots, township officials announced Tuesday.
The township and police department have been working with Monmouth County officials to move polling places out of the district's schools. The effort has been in part prompted by security concerns raised in the wake of the Parkland high school massacre in Florida in 2018.
Howell Township Clerk Penny Wollman said the polling place change is effective for the primary election coming up on June 4 and all elections going forward.
