UPDATE: Howell Schools Closed

UPDATE, 6:30 a.m.: Howell schools officials and the Freehold Regional High School district have announced school is closed today.

Howell school officials also said: All after-school and evening activities for Tuesday have been canceled. All PAL activities, including those at Southard School, will be closed on Tuesday. Please continue to visit the district website, www.howell.k12.nj.us, for weather related announcements. Stay Safe.

PREVIOUSLY: Howell Township Public Schools and the Freehold Regional School District have announced 90-minute delayed opening schedules on Tuesday, on their respective websites.

The notification on the Howell elementary schools site added: “Please Note: We are closely monitoring the road conditions and the pending storm forecast for tomorrow, Tuesday, February 17th. Please prepare for the possibility of a school closing. We will provide updates through our website, emails and telephone alerts.”

The delayed opening schedule:

Freehold Regional High Schools

• Freehold, Howell, Manalapan: 9 a.m.
• Colts Neck, Freehold Township, Marlboro: 9:55 a.m.

Howell Township Schools

• Middle Schools: 8:55 a.m.
• Aldrich, Greenville, Griebling, Ramtown: 9:35 a.m.
• Adelphia, Ardena, Land O’ Pines, Newbury, Taunton, and Pre-Kindergarten Classes: 10:15 a.m.
• Morning Pre-Kindergarten: 10:15 a.m.
• Afternoon Pre-Kindergarten: 1:05 p.m.
