Howell Schools Announce Delayed Opening For Feb. 10

Breaking: Roads remain icy in the wake of the storm, officials said.

HOWELL, NJ -- Students and teaching staff in most Monmouth County school districts, including Howell students, will get to sleep in Friday as districts announced delayed openings due to the storm.

Howell Township public schools will have a 90-minute delay, the district announced.

The Freehold Regional High School District also will have a delay, according to its website. All bus pickups will be delayed by 90 minutes. Early schools (Freehold, Howell, Manalapan) will begin at 9 a.m. Late schools (Colts Neck, Freehold Township, Marlboro) will begin at 9:55 a.m.

Monmouth County Vocational Schools will have a delayed opening. For shared-time programs, all AM classes will be cancelled, staff will report at 8:30 a.m.. PM sessions will run as scheduled. Full-time program staff will report at 8:30 a.m., students will report at 9 a.m. Adult evening programs will run as scheduled.

St. John Vianney High School has a delayed opening for freshmen only; sophomores, juniors and seniors have a previously scheduled holiday.

Red Bank Catholic High School and St. James Elementary School are open as scheduled. RBC students in districts with delayed openings should report to the Business Office when they arrive at school.

St. Rose High School has made no announcements on its website or social media.

Ranney School has made no announcements on its website or social media.
