Howell Woman ID'd As Victim In Fatal Jackson Crash: Report
Breaking: Her husband was driving one vehicle; a Manchester man who was partly ejected in the crash is improving, police said.

JACKSON, NJ — A Howell Township woman has been identified as the victim in a fatal crashthat injured four other people Friday evening in Jackson, according to a report.
NJ.com reported Rowena Garcia, 53, of Howell, was in the front passenger's seat of a Dodge Town & County minivan when she was killed, quoting Jackson Police Sgt. George Vidalis.
Her husband, Geordano Garcia, 56, was the driver of the minivan and remained hospitalized with serious injuries, NJ.com reported, quoting Vidalis said. Their 26-year-old daughter was in the rear passenger seat and suffered moderate injuries, Sgt. Steven Laskiewicz said Friday, but she has since been released from the hospital, Vidalis said.

The names of a 31-year-old Manchester Township man and his 14-year-old female passenger have not been released. The NJ.com report said the teen had been released from the hospital but the man, who was partially ejected from the 1993 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck he was driving, remains hospitalized.
Laskiewicz said the crash happened about 6:40 p.m. Friday at the intersection of South Hope Chapel Road and Ridgeway Boulevard. The initial investigation revealed the pickup was northbound on South Hope Chapel Road when Garcia turned the minivan into the path of the pickup truck, possibly in an attempt to turn left onto Ridgeway Boulevard, Laskiewicz said.
