Howell Women's Club Meetings 2019

HOWELL — The Howell Women’s Club will host its annual Open House and Membership Social at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the Taunton School Media Center, 41 Taunton Drive, Howell.

The club celebrates over 50 years as a community service organization. The event offers an opportunity to meet the members of the club and learn about its activities. Women from the Howell, Jackson, Lakewood and Freehold areas are invited to attend, bring their friends and relax. Refreshments will be served and this year our club member Janet Ng-Marinaro will demonstrate, and you will be able to participate in, making sushi.

The Howell Women’s Club is a social and charitable organization of local women. General meetings are held monthly. The club’s community and charitable projects are planned and discussed and short informational and interactive programs are presented. We also meet socially outside of our meetings as desired.

The club has raised an appreciable sum for local charities, especially women’s and children’s causes, including The Maryann Gambino Memorial Scholarship, given to a high school graduating senior from the Freehold Regional High School District. Additionally, the Howell Senior Center’s homebound clients of Meals on Wheels are treated to monthly desserts and Thanksgiving and Easter/Passover Holiday dinners prepared by club members and delivered by the Howell Township Police Department. We also participate with the Howell Emergency Food Pantry, Providence House, Mission 22, Rebuilding Warriors and other local service organizations.

This year we will be collecting school supplies at our Membership Social for local children in need distributed through the Howell Emergency Food Pantry.
