Howell, NJ -- A Keansburg man has been indicted in connection with a string of home burglaries in Howell earlier this year, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

Jordan Raymond, 25, of Seabreeze Way, Keansburg, was indicted by a Monmouth County grand jury last week on one count of burglary, six counts of attempted burglary, one count of theft and seven counts of criminal mischief, according to court documents released by the prosecutor's office.

Raymond is accused of trying to break into seven homes in the area of Scenic Road and Long Road in Howell on March 31, damaging windows and sliding glass doors in the process, with damage in each case estimated between $500 and $2,000, according to court documents.

The indictment also alleges Raymond took jewelry, a cell phone, a camera, a television, and the victim's check book and banking and store credit cards during one of the break-ins.

At the time, Howell police said they arrested Raymond after finding him walking down the road after nearby residents called police to report hearing glass breaking. Raymond had jewelry, the cell phone and other items on him at the time, police said.
