Local Foot & Ankle Doctor Celebrates 25th Anniversary As a Business in Howell, NJ

Local podiatrist and Howell resident, Dr. Hal Ornstein, recently celebrated his 25th anniversary practicing at Affiliated Foot and Ankle Center, LLP now located at 4645 Route 9 North in Howell. Dr. Ornstein started his podiatric practice in 1989 shortly after completing his post residency program at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles Medical Center. Upon his return to New Jersey {Born in Edison, NJ}, Dr. Ornstein opened his first practice location in Howell, followed by several others, to currently having a multi-physician medical practice focused on top quality foot and ankle care, along with an on-site lower extremity physical therapy center located at 4645 Route 9 North.

Dr. Ornstein is a distinguished practitioner in the national academies, has given over 250 presentations internationally and has written and been interviewed for over 300 topics pertinent to practice management, patient satisfaction and efficiency in a medical practice. He has won numerous professional awards including the Bernie Egerter award, which is the highest honor that the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management (AAPPM) Board of Trustee’s can provide and he was named as one of the most influential podiatrists in the country by Podiatric Management Magazine. In addition, Dr. Ornstein was chosen by the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) to receive the Meritorious Service Award. A person may only receive one Meritorious Service Award in his or her lifetime and is the highest honor given by the podiatric profession. He was also inducted into the Podiatric Hall of Fame in 2009 and received the Podiatry Management Magazine Lifetime Achievement Award.

In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Ornstein is actively involved in community service and non-profit organizations locally, nationwide, and internationally. Today, he serves as Medical Director and practicing podiatrist at Affiliated Foot and Ankle Center, LLP, and spends much of his time on many philanthropic endeavors. Dr. Ornstein is a very generous person who believes that one person can make a difference in the world, and together, the difference can be astounding. He and his team at Affiliated Foot and Ankle Center, LLP are ongoing supporters for the Howell Food Pantry and Dr. Ornstein is founder of the “De-Feet Childhood Hunger (DFCH)” movement, which is a national coalition of podiatric medical offices & podiatry students who are dedicated to ending childhood hunger across America. He is the Immediate Past President of the Howell Chamber of Commerce and one of the founders of the Howell Holiday Giveaway Program.
