2 Stabbed At Howell House Party, Man Arrested: Police
Ricardo Cruickshank, 26, was arrested Saturday in Jackson; police say he stabbed two men who tried to intervene on behalf of a woman.

HOWELL, NJ — An Ocean County man has been arrested in connection with a double stabbing that happened late Friday night in Howell, police said.
Ricardo Cruickshank, 26, of Jackson Township, was arrested Saturday in Jackson, Howell police said in a post on the department's Facebook page. He is accused of stabbing two other men during a fight at a party at 358 Ford Road in Howell about 11 p.m. on Friday. Police had spoken with Cruickshank and given him a chance to turn himself in, but as of 1 p.m. Saturday he had not done so.
A 27-year-old Howell man suffered a cut to his hand, and a 26-year-old Brick man was stabbed multiple times in the back, Howell police said. The Brick man remained hospitalized on Saturday but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Both were taken to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood by personal vehicles and Lakewood police were called to the hospital after medical personnel reported the stabbings. Lakewood police called Howell police after learning the stabbings happened in Howell.
Police said the fight began when the two men intervened after Cruickshank became aggressive with a woman who was at the house party. The fight turned physical and Cruickshank pulled out a knife and stabbed both men.

Cruickshank has been charged with second-degree aggravated assault with a weapon, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree possession of a weapon.
