HOWELL, NJ — Howell Township police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man who they say took a suitcase from a restaurant — a suitcase that was full of a toddler's clothing.
The incident happened between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Sept. 23, said Detective Sgt. Christian Antunez, spokesman for the department.
The man seen in the above photos was caught on surveillance footage as he went into the Dynasty Asian Fusion restaurant at the Howell Center Plaza on Route 9 South and took the suitcase, Antunez said.

The suitcase belonged to an employee of the restaurant who was moving her 3-year-old child’s clothing and brought it to the restaurant temporarily, Antunez said. The employee left the suitcase in the lobby for less than 30 minutes, he said. During that time, the suspect walked past the restaurant and noticed the suitcase, then went into the lobby, took the suitcase and left, Antunez said.
The man was driving what appears to be a Toyota Yaris hatchback or similar type vehicle, Antunez said.
