Men Paid For Gatorade-Candy Binge With $1,200 In Fraudulent Gift Cards: Police
NJ State Police say the pair used eight stolen identities to buy the gift cards and topped their binge with Chick-fil-A meal.

HOWELL, NJ — Gatorade. Candy. Chick-fil-A. The makings of a balanced diet.
That's what New Jersey State Police say two men purchased with $1,200 in gift cards that police say the men bought using eight stolen identities.
The incidents occurred on Friday, Sept. 29 in Howell, at the Walmart and Chick-fil-a, State Police said.

The two men are accused of purchasing several store gift cards at the Walmart on Route 9 in Howell using stolen identities, purchasing cards totaling about $1,200, state police said.
The two men then went back into the Walmart and used the cards multiple times to buy candy bars and Gatorade, spending about $150, state police said.

When they finally left the Walmart, they then used another fraudulent gift card at the Chick-fil-A to buy food, state police said.
State police ask anyone who can identify either man or the car they were seen driving to call Trooper Ashley of the NJSP Hamilton Station at 609-584-5000, ext. 5297.
Anonymous tips are welcome, they said.
