Monmouth County DWI Checkpoint Wednesday Night
If you are out with friends enjoying a little holiday cheer before Thursday's big meal, don't drink and drive.
HOWELL, NJ — If you're celebrating the holidays Wednesday night, authorities are reminding you to not drink and drive.
The Monmouth County DWI Task Force is conducting a DWI checkpoint Wednesday night to detect drivers under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
The checkpoint will be run from 11 p.m. Wednesday through 3 a.m. Thursday on Route 9 northbound. Task force members and Howell police officers will pull vehicles from the northbound lanes into the Regal Plaza parking lot to educate drivers on the dangers of driving while intoxicated/impaired and determine driver's sobriety, said Allenhurst Police Chief Michael B. Schneider, task force coordinator.
