Motor Vehicle Incident Knocks Out Power In Howell: Police

More than 2,800 homes and businesses in Howell were without power, according to Jersey Central Power & Light.

HOWELL, NJ — A motor vehicle incident took out at least one utility pole along Randolph Road on Monday afternoon, knocking out power to more than 2,800 homes and businesses, police said.

Howell Township police said poles and wires were damaged; additional details on the incident were not immediately available.

Motorists should avoid the area while repairs are made.

Jersey Central Power & Light said more than 2,800 homes and businesses were without power; their computers were estimating restoration by 8 p.m.
