HOWELL, NJ — A motorcyclist was injured Tuesday in a crash on Route 524, and the driver of the car that hit the motorcycle has been arrested, Howell police saidHowell police said the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. They did not give any information on the motorcyclist's identity.The driver of the car got out and tried to run away but was taken into custody, police said.Route 524 was closed between Howell Road and Havens Bridge Road for several hours. Howell police said the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. They did not give any information on the motorcyclist's identity.The driver of the car got out and tried to run away but was taken into custody, police said.

Route 524 was closed between Howell Road and Havens Bridge Road for several hours. Further details were not immediately available.
