No-Shave November In Force Among Howell Police Again
The campaign, in its third year, helps raise funds and awareness of men's health issues, particularly prostate cancer.

HOWELL, NJ — If you notice your local Howell Township police officers looking a little less clean-shaven in the coming days, don't assume they've just gotten lax about grooming.
The annual “No Shave November” campaign is under way, as a way to raise awareness of men's health issues and prostate cancer services at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold, officials said.
Howell Police Chief Andrew Kudrick Jr. has temporarily relaxed grooming standards for the month, and the participating officers each had to make a monetary contribution to the cause to be permitted to grow their beards and mustaches, the department said.

"MOVEMBER is a global movement to raise awareness and funding for men’s health issues. CentraState is challenging community organizations, businesses and individuals to do more for men’s health by growing their facial hair and doing MO for NOVEMBER for our prostate cancer programs and services," CentraState officials said.
