One Dead In Officer-Involved Shooting In Farmingdale: NJAG
The officer-involved shooting is under investigation, the attorney general's office said early Saturday.
FARMINGDALE, NJ — One person has died in a shooting in Farmingdale that involved a police officer, the New Jersey attorney general's office announced early Saturday morning.
The attorney general's office released few details other than to say it is investigating the shooting, which happened on Walnut Street in Farmingdale.
The half-square-mile borough with about 1,600 residents, which does not have its own police department, contracts with New Jersey State Police for non-emergency police calls, but it was not clear early Saturday what agency was involved.

The news release said one civilian was killed. It did not say what time the incident happened.
The Asbury Park Press reported it happened at a home on the part of Walnut Street closest to Farmingdale Elementary School.

The attorney general's office is conducting the investigation and said no additional information was being released overnight.
