Paving Set For Howell Roads Opened For Water Mains

New Jersey American Water is slated to start paving roads in Howell that were opened to install new water mains. See where and when.

HOWELL, NJ — New Jersey American Water is set to begin the final paving of several roads in Howell where it has replaced water mains, Howell officials announced.

The paving work is set to begin Monday, with work happening from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Roads will be closed and detours will be in place, officials said.

The schedule of roads and when they will be affected is as follows. It is subject to weather or any unforeseen conditions, officials said.

  • Monday: Milling of Markwood Drive, Old Bridge Drive, and South Westfield Road.
  • Tuesday: Milling of North Westfield Road and paving Markwood Drive and Old Bridge Drive.
  • Wednesday: Paving South and North Westfield roads.
  • Thursday: Milling of Salem Hill Road (between Chestnut Hill Road and Newport Drive).
  • Friday: Paving of Salem Hill Road.

New Jersey American Water will do the final paving of the remaining roads in the Candlewood project over the summer, officials said.
