People in recovery giving back to their community.
Teaching gratitude and humility is an enormous part of recovery for people addicted to substance abuse.
CFC Loud N Clear Foundation (CFC) runs a model relapse prevention program based in Central New Jersey. A large component of the program is teaching the importance of gratitude and humility. CFC is focused on rebuilding lives and creating productive, active, giving members of society.
Each year, CFC Members in Recovery adopt 10 local families in need for the holidays. This past weekend, they delivered overflowing baskets filled with a Thanksgiving feast to each family on Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, they dressed up and conversed about their past year and what they are grateful for. Many of the members will be celebrating their first Thanksgiving dinner with their family in years. It is a beautiful thing to watch lives change and families heal.
On December 19th, CFC will host a big holiday party for over 300 members, their families, and the families that were adopted this holiday season. It is an extremely special afternoon full of gifts, food, music, love, hope, and togetherness.
