Pickup Rolls Into Manasquan Reservoir Boat Launch: Howell Police
There were no injuries, police said, after the vehicle was safely pulled out of the water.

HOWELL, NJ — Authorities had to pull a submerged pickup truck from the Manasquan Reservoir on Thursday after the vehicle was left in reverse while a boat was being launched.
Two Toms River residents who were with the truck were not injured, police said.
Police were called to the reservoir at about 9 a.m. when multiple callers reported a vehicle submerged off the boat ramp at the reservoir. Officers found the two occupants outside the truck when they arrived.

Squankum Fire Dive Team responded and provided assistance to Certified Auto by securing the vehicle with tow straps. There was no contamination to the water, police said, but the truck's windshield wipers were operating.
It is still unknown who turned on the windshield wipers, police said.
