Pyskaty, Liero Named to All-Division Teams

Rebels seniors honored after strong seasons.

The Howell High School ice hockey program is rich in tradition in a very short period of time.

Completing the Rebels' third season, the team qualified for both the Shore Conference Tournament and the NJSIAA playoffs every season.

For the third consecutive season, the Rebels have had at least one player selected to the an all-division team.

After being moved to Shore B after two seasons in Shore C, senior Eddie Pyskaty was named to the all-division first team, while Mike Liero was selected to the second team.

The duo were also the second and third Howell players to become a part of the 100-point-club behind Dave Ramos. Both players surpassed the century mark in December.

Howell had a strong season but was upset in the first round of the state playoffs, losing to Park Regional, 3-1.

The Rebels ended the season with a record of 17-8-1 -- the most losses in a single season in their history.
