Fire Damages Home Under Renovation: Police
The fire forced the closure of Route 547 for part of Wednesday afternoon, police said.

HOWELL, NJ — A house under renovation on Lakewood Farmingdale Road caught fire Wednesday, causing a disruption to traffic along the stretch, police said..
There were no injuries as a result of the fire as the house was under renovation and unoccupied, Howell police said in a post on Facebook. The fire is not deemed suspicious as per the Howell Fire Bureau.
The Squankum and Ramtown fire departments controlled the fire and were able to limit damage, police said.

Route 547 — Lakewood Farmingdale Road — was closed in Howell Township for a few hours while firefighters battled the structure fire, police said.
Police posted an advisory about 1:20 p.m. on Facebook. The closure affected Lakewood Farmingdale Road from Victory Road to Oak Glen Road, the notice said.
