Senior Boxing Program Joins Howell Senior Center

The boxing class is open to all senior citizens and will provide them with an opportunity to exercise in a new and exciting way.

HOWELL, NJ — The Howell Senior Center offers programs and services to Howell residents aged 60 and up that promote safety, healthy living and high quality of life. The Senior Boxing Program is the organization's newest program.

Howell Police Officer Nate Headd gave a presentation on the Senior Boxing Program at the Howell Township Senior Center last Wednesday, which drew a crowd of 60 interested seniors and caregivers.

Since the demonstration, over 25 Howell seniors have signed up for the program.“Both males and females were excited to learn. It’s not only a chance for seniors to exercise in a new and exciting way, but some of them liked the self-defense aspect of it,” said Howell Township.
